I am doing 1st BAMS course. I want to do MS after BAMS . Can you please tell me tips for study, process of admission and about entrance exam?
Hi Aspirant
MS course is available after BAMS but this MS will be different than what are done after MBBS.In this MS you can do surgery through ayurvedic techniques not like done by MBBS,MS.
MS Ayurveda is a post-graduate program in medicine covering details of different kinds of techniques in surgery, disorders in surgery, surgical emergency management and trauma etc.The duration of the course is 3years.There are entrance test specific to some institutes and somewhere direct admission. To be eligible for this you need to score atleast 50% in your graduation.Below a list of entrance is given:
- JPGET- Joint Post Graduate Entrance Test to Ayurveda Vachaspati - MD/ MS (Ayurveda)
- PGET – AHPNP Post Graduate Entrance Test Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
- JPGEE- Joint Post Graduate Entrance Examination for admission to Ayurveda Vachaspati
The admission will be based on counselling.Once you give exam and qualify ,everything will be sorted. You need to be good in your basics whatever you have in your graduation. To pursue higher degree you must be sincere from the first year.Try to clear your concepts during your class only.Don't store your doubts. In all kind of entrance you will be asked everything you have in your graduation paper. So don't loose focus.
All the best.
