Yes, you can definitely go for MBA. I know a lot of students who pursued an MBA after BSc. or even after MSc. Since you will be a fresher consulting might not be the field for you but you will have plenty of opportunities in sales and marketing and even finance and even general management.
You can look at CAT, XAT, SNAP and IIFT. Getting into a top college from any of these exams is a good option to give your career the boost you are looking for.

If you are really interested in management course then definitely it's a pretty good option.
There is no restrictions regarding the field in which you have done graduation for doing post graduation MBA course. Only eligibility you needed to appear in MBA exams is having more than 50% in 10th 12th and graduation for general/OBC category and 45% for SC/ST category.
You being a min engineer would also get perks of getting additional marks in the merit list made by IIMs to call students for interview and WSAT round. Also generally non engineer student get a call at a little low percentile than an engineer student of the same category.
So if you're really interested in management then start preparing for MBA exams like CAT, XAT etc. For preparations make sure you start from basics. It's very important to strengthen your basics before moving for higher level questions or to improve your speed and accuracy. Along with the preparations start giving lots of online mock test and analyse each test's solutions which will help you in overcoming your mistakes and come up with a strategy to attempt your paper which will definitely help you in improving your marks and percentile. It will also help you in knowing your strength and weakness so that you can work on them.
All the best!!
