I am doing bsc operation theatre technician . people always say that it's a bad course no any scope in future. pls help me I am feeling so depressed

B.Sc in Operation Theatre Technology is not a bad course. In fact, it is a good course with various job profiles and handsome salary packages. You can go for the job profiles like- Teacher, Lecturer, Consultant, OT Technician, Associate Consultant, OT Assistant, Anaesthesia Consultant, Lab Technician and many other profiles. Your starting salary might range from INR 2 LPA to INR 10 LPA, and it will eventually hike as you start gaining experience and knowledge. It is better if you don't listen to people who demotivate you. Do good in your field and you will definitely succeed.

Bachelor of Science in Operational Theatre is an undergraduate course .The duration of course is 3 years. Bachelor of Science in Operational Theatre teaches the responsibilities and duties of an Operational Theatre technician who works along with surgeons in the Operational Theatre. An surgeon team includes: surgeon, anesthesiologist, certified registered nurse anesthetist, operating room nurse, circulating nurse, physician assistant, surgical care, residents, medical representative, etc.

We all give credit to Doctors and nurses for saving patients’ lives by performing operations. Yes, they do deserve the credit. But OT technicians, who are part of the team, also deserve credit!

Therefore don't loose your hope.
