I am doing EIE engineering... Should I take ECE stream or IN stream for gate exam ?And is this difficult to get through into PSU's in IN?

Hi Anusha, in my opinion it is better to take IN stream rather than ECE stream. It is becuase you would be dealing with many familiar subjects rather than learning many new subjects in ece. Also the cutoffs are bit low for IN as the number of test takers is low from EIE background when compared to ECE background, where you would have a very high competition. And getting into PSU requires higher score than doing higher studies. You need to have ranks of below 250 at least, if you need to get through the first phase. Also develop technical skills because not only the marks would help, but even the technical presentation matters a lot during the interviews. All the best !!!
