I am doing my bsc in chemistry. Will I be eligible to give iit jam as I have done my class 12th with PCB?
Hello Shrishti
Yes definitely you can appear for joint admission for M. Sc as chemistry as your main subject. You don't have to worry about the fact that you belong to PCB in your class 12th, many student appears every year with chemistry having pcb as background.
Good luck for your future :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Firstly talking about the eligibility, IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria mandates candidates to hold a Bachelors Degree. Students belonging to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must have at least 55% aggregate in Bachelors. The marks secured include all the subjects studied at the graduation level, without rounding off the marks. You are eligible if you satisfy the above criteria. You can take the exam, even though you have PCB as your subjects in your 12th (there is no such compulsion of having math or any other subject in your inter ) Do check the below link for more information on IIT JAM.
