i am doing my graduation and i have 2 backs so if i cleared the CAT exam. This will affect or not?
Hello Sweta!
The following provided is the eligibility criteria to appear in CAT:
- A candidate is eligible to appear in CAT if he/she holds a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories, need at least 45% marks.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor's degree or equivalent examination and those who have already completed degree examinations but are awaiting results are also eligible. Such candidates, if qualified, will be allowed to join the course conditionally, only if they produce a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution.
- The candidate needs to submit the certificate stating that the candidate has fulfilled all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.
So as per the third criteria point, the candidate id supposed to produce the certificates of the exams conducted in the degree programme. These certificates are issued by the university/college only if the student passes in all the semesters.
Unless you clear the re-examinations to cover your backs you will not be issued the certificates and hence your CAT exam will be affected directly.
Hope this helps. All the best!
