For being an IITian, you must create a strong base of your class 11th and 12th syllabus. That's the start for any competitive examination. After you've done so, you must start to prepare for JEE main which is almost similar to Board level preparation. Then you have to prepare for JEE advanced. If you succeed to do all these, you will sure be an IITian.
