You need to clear the CAT exam cut off to get into IIM A for an MBA.

The eligibility for Admission in IIM A is as follows :

• The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. In case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) category, this is relaxed to 45%. The candidate may possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
• Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. The candidate is required to have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/DA category) based on latest available grades/marks.

Now , talking about selection procedure , it is as follows:

There are 2 stages that a candidate goes through before getting selected for IIM-Ahmedabad PGP Programme.

1. The first stage is appearing for the CAT Exam conducted by the IIMs.
2. On clearing the required cutoffs and the composite score, a candidate is called for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). From 2015 onwards, WAT has been replaced by Academic Writing Test (AWT).

• You should hold atleast 50% marks or CGPA in under graduation ,in case of ST , SC or DA it is relaxed to 45% atleast.

Process of admission

• Appear for CAT exam which will be held on 25th November 2018 conducted by IIMs.
• After clearing the cut offs,candidate is called for AWT and PI.

Hello Jay, you can do Mba after you finish TYbsc. You must appear for CAT and GMAT once you are done with your TYbcs.
