Hey dear, seeing last year's cutoff which went very high that even students getting 500 marks were unable to get a govt. Mbbs seat. Since you belong to general category and you marks are also above 550, so i would say yes under state quota you are having a clear chance for an mbbs govt. seat. Stay tuned to the counselling and hope for the best. For more information regarding marks and ranks go through this link:

Hello Aspirant,

Considering your Home State as Uttar Pradesh according to your profile.

See it is a little bit difficult to predict whether you get seat in government colleges or not because different colleges have different cut-offs for State quota and All India Quota. Also, cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

But although according to the marks and category you have mentioned in the question you have chances of getting into some of the Government Medical Colleges because according to previous year's cut-offs GMC by name Autonomous Medical College, Bahraich was having the lowest cut-off marks 575 under Home State quota for Unreserved category. For more details refer to the link given below :-

To have a list of those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 590 marks you hold a very good chance to get into Government Medical College under state quota, but you have not mentioned your domicile state so do let us know it so that we can help you with the colleges in which you have chances for getting the seat

To get the list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Thankyou
