I am expecting 575 marks in NEET 2020 , category - EWS(UR) & having UP state quota. Which govt. college can I get for MBBS in UP ?
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
In 2019, under State Quota, 575 marks secured a seat in GMC, Bahraich under EWS Category. That was the cut off for GMCs under EWS Category. So with a score of 575, a seat in a GMC is a borderline chance. It has got nothing to do with your score but it is just that UP's cut offs have increased by 150 marks in 2019. Hence the number. But you might get a seat in Government Quota of Private Medical Colleges like:
- Sri Rammurti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences
- Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences
- Hind Institute of Medical Sciences
Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Hello Aspirant,
Seeing your NEET marks and your category, you may get admission into a good government college.
But, getting admission in to a government college for MBBS degree depends on your category, whether it is your home state of not, seat availability , etc.
For the students who come under home state, have lower cutoffs than those who aren't from home state.
Also you category also comes into picture.
