Yes, Faizan, with your 12th standard completed in the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) stream, you are eligible for a B.Tech. in Textile Technology in most universities and colleges in India.

Here's a breakdown of the eligibility criteria for B.Tech. in Textile Technology:

  • Minimum Qualification: Completion of 12th standard from a recognized board.
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are typically required for most institutions. However, some colleges might accept PCB students subject to specific conditions or entrance exams.

Recommendations:

  • Check individual college websites: While PCB makes you eligible in most cases, it's always recommended to double-check the specific eligibility criteria for the B.Tech. in Textile Technology program at the universities or colleges you're interested in. Their websites should have a detailed admission section outlining the required subjects.
  • Entrance Exams: Some colleges might require you to appear for an entrance exam specific to engineering or textile technology programs. Check the college website for details on any entrance exams you need to take.

Additional Tips:

  • Interest in Textiles: Having a genuine interest in textiles, fabrics, and the textile manufacturing process can be beneficial for your studies.
  • Mathematics Skills: While PCB qualifies you, brushing up on your mathematics skills might be helpful, especially if some colleges require it for the course.

Overall, having a PCB background shouldn't hinder your pursuit of B.Tech. in Textile Technology. However, it's crucial to confirm the specific eligibility requirements with the colleges you're targeting.

Hello Faizan! Since you completed your 12th with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), eligibility for a B.Tech in Textile Technology depends on the specific requirements set by the university or institution you’re applying to. Generally, most engineering colleges require Mathematics in the 12th-grade curriculum as a mandatory subject for B.Tech programs, including Textile Technology, since math plays a foundational role in engineering studies.

However, some private institutions or specialized programs might offer flexibility, allowing PCB students to apply, especially if they have an interest in design, process management, or quality control within textile studies, which may not demand extensive math knowledge. It’s a good idea to directly contact colleges that offer B.Tech in Textile Technology to confirm if they accept PCB students or if they offer a foundation course in mathematics to bridge the gap.

Alternatively, if B.Tech is your goal, you could consider taking an additional math course or certification that may help fulfill eligibility in some cases. There are also other degree options like B.Sc in Textile Science or Textile Design, which focus more on the biological and material sciences, aligning well with your PCB background.

Hello

B.Tech programs , including Textile Technology , require students to have completed 12th grade with a Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics background . Since you completed 12th grade with Physics , Chemistry and Biology . you might not be eligible for B.Tech admissions in many institutions .

Certain universities and colleges offer B.Tech in Textile Technology or related fields with alternative eligibility requirements .

To pursue a B.Tech in Textile Technology , consider these steps :

1. Check Individual University Requirements : Some universities may allow PCB students in specific technology courses , though this is rare for core engineering fields .

2. Consider Additional Examinations : Some institutions may offer a bridge course or entrance exams that allow PCB students to transition to a PCM requirement .

3. Alternative Courses : You may explore B.Sc. programs in Textile Science or other technical diplomas related to textiles , which may later offer options for lateral entry into B.Tech programs .

Exploring engineering entrance exam brochures like CUET , WBJEE or state-level engineering exams will provide more clarity .

Thank you

Hello aspirant,

Yes, you are eligible for a B.Tech in Textile Technology after completing your 12th with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). Here's a breakdown of the eligibility criteria:

General Eligibility:

  • Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
  • Science stream (PCM or PCB) is typically required.

Specific Requirements (May vary slightly between institutions):

  • Minimum marks requirement: This can range from 50% to 75% aggregate marks in your 12th standard exams, with a minimum score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology depending on the institute).
  • Entrance Exams: Some institutions may require you to take an entrance exam like JEE Main or a university-specific entrance exam for admission

Here are some resources to help you explore further:

  • College websites: Check the websites of the specific colleges or universities you're interested in. They will have detailed information about their B.Tech in Textile Technology program, including eligibility criteria, admission process, and syllabus.

I hope it helps you.

Hello Faizan ,

Yes, you can be eligible for a B.Tech in Textile Technology, but here are some key points to consider:

  1. Primary Requirement : Most B.Tech programs, including Textile Technology, require students to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in their 12th grade, as engineering courses rely heavily on mathematics.

  2. PCB Background : Since you completed 12th with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), you may need to bridge the mathematics requirement. Some universities offer remedial courses or allow students from a PCB background if they complete an additional math course.

  3. Alternative Pathways : Check with the specific college or university as admission policies can vary. Some institutions accept PCB students for certain engineering programs, but others are strict about the PCM prerequisite.

  4. Entrance Exam : For most B.Tech programs, entrance exams (like JEE or state exams) require PCM. Some private universities may have their own entrance tests with flexible criteria for PCB students.

Hope it helps !

Hello Faizan,

Yes, as a student who has completed your 12th grade with a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) stream, you are generally eligible for a B.Tech in Textile Technology. However, eligibility can vary by institution, so here are a few points to consider:

  1. Admission Criteria : Most engineering colleges require students to have completed 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Since you have PCB, check specific college requirements; some may allow students with PCB backgrounds into specialized programs like Textile Technology.

  2. Entrance Exams : Some institutions may require you to take entrance exams like JEE Main, state-level engineering entrance exams, or specific exams conducted by the college itself for admission.

  3. Colleges : Research colleges that offer B.Tech in Textile Technology and review their eligibility criteria and admission process.

  4. Further Options : If you find that your current qualification limits your options, you might consider pursuing a diploma in Textile Technology or taking a few additional subjects if possible.

Make sure to reach out to the colleges you are interested in to confirm their specific requirements!

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Hi Faizan Raja! To pursue a B.Tech in Textile Technology, having completed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) may limit your eligibility. Most engineering programs, including Textile Technology, typically require Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) at the 10+2 level. However, some institutions may offer exceptions or alternative entry routes, so it’s best to check with specific colleges or universities directly to confirm their requirements.

For admission to textile engineering , eligibility requires, completing class 12th with more than 45% marks with chemistry, physics and mathematics. and physics and mathematics as the compulsory subjects.

Top institute for this are IITs like Delhi, Bombay, kanpur as well as NITs. Admission is through exams like jee mains and jee advanced.

However some other exam to get admission are-

MHT CET

KCET

Goa CET

WBJEE

UPSEE

AP EAMCET

TS EAMCET ETC

You need to qualify common engineering entrance exam like JEE Mains because many colleges required jee score for admission in b.tech textile designing.you ate not eligible for the course if you completed your 12th with pcb background.

If you are still interested you might need to focus on gaining additional knowledge related to mathematics and physics concepts relevant to textile engineering during your studies and must obtain a 2-year polytechnic diploma to continue with engineering background.after you completed this course you are eligible to give JEE mains exam and hence eligible for textile design too.
