i am freshers physics hons graduate. i have no internship. so what shold be the ans of the question why MBA?
Hey Diganta!
You need to explain your passion in Business during the interview or the PI round. Plus, you can add on that you wish to join some physics based company, but in a managerial role. So, you can understand the company in depth. Companies like Chevron and Exxon Mobile.
Secondly, you should sit back and ask yourself, your purpose of doing MBA. This will give you the answer. Plus, It’s not necessary to have an internship even, if you are competent enough with others. And, I am saying it from my personal experience. So, prepare well and ace the best B-school. Best wishes!
Hey Diganta,
I would suggest it hardly matters when it comes to wether you have done internship or not.
You can justify it by saying truth that you were focusing on CAT or you can join an NGO and tell that you are associated with them or can join any certificate course which will be helpful in future.
Why MBA generally is what pulls it you to do MBA and diffrrs from person to person.
Hope it clears your doubts. All the best for your future endeavours.
Feel free to contact incase of any queries.
Thanks.
Hi Diganta,
The answer to why MBA is for understanding about yourself. It doesn't matter whether you have an internship or what degree you have. All you have to do to answer this is look into why you actually wanted to do MBA - reasons could be a leap in career, some experience through some Positions of Responsibility taken in college or some role model who inspired you.
Divide the answer into three parts - What motivated you to do MBA? (This covers your main reason or the point where your spark began). Then relate it to yourself and your profile (what did you do en route since you realised you want to do MBA or what is it in your life that helped you get that MBA spark or what is it that you possess which can make you a good manager). Now look at your short term and long term goals. (In this part, touchbase on your goals and specify how an MBA degree will help you reach the goals)
All the best
Hi Diganta,
You do not need to have any internship before pursuing MBA. Moreover, being a fresher with graduation in Physics Hons. does not affect your seat into MBA colleges.
You can reflect your genuine interest to pursue MBA to shape your personality. You can specify that you want to explore opportunities available to you and find out where you exactly fit in. Moreover, every type of job requires the management skills in long-term. As fresher you can tell that you want to be completely prepared before entering into the industry.
Good Luck. :)
Hi Diganta,
It is not always mandatory that your decision of going for MBA should always be related to your graduation, work experience or any internship. It could be based on your interest also. You can relate the answer with your interests or else you can just say that you want to explore options as you are a fresher and MBA will give you an opportunity to get an hollistic idea about all dominas of business.
First, I would suggest you to focus on CAT and prepare well for it
All the best
Dear Diganta,t
The answer to this question Why MBA ? can make or break your interview. You need to introspect within your past life and experiences that have motivated you to join MBA. ALso try to form a story around it which is relatable to your real experiences and is decent enough to convince the interviewer.
Hi ,
You why MBA question need not necessarily be based on your internships. Your answer can be based on any reason starting from your family background like you come from a business oriented family or your position of responsibilities handled during UG , etc. You need not have any written proofs for your interest in MBA but you need a convincing answer.
Hello Diganta
Well it's a certain question that you will face in your interview. So first you should clear your point that you don't see your future as a Physics professor and you don't want to do MS or MSc in future. And you have only one aim to do MBA and moreover its a course which makes one extremely updated with the current scenario like how the business is running or market is evolving. And to make oneself more employable, seek better opportunity, job profile one should go for doing MBA.
And MBA is a course which evolve itself according to the ongoing market trend. It does not have any set or concrete theory. So lots of scope is there.
If you add these points or anyone of these it will be enough to justify your interest towards pursuing MBA course.
Thanks
The most basic answer to all such type of questions is to tell that it suits your area of interest.
Be absolutely sure as to what discipline you want to choose and research and read about that. Also,to show that you are working for your passion and interest, you can do a bit of training and courses online. Having sound knowledge of what you want to do is a must and helps immensely.
Hope this helps.
