I am from a commerce background and I have computer with maths.I wish to do BCA fom Kolkata and then persue an MCA degree. But MCA is 3 years course.What kind of 1 year diploma can I do?

You can do BCA and after completion of BCA course you can do MCA from lateral entry.
MCA is a 2 year course and its a ling duration but you can do MCA through lateral entry system and can complete MCA in 2 years.Many colleges in india offer lateral entry in MCA. But dob go fir any certificate course because that will be a waste of time.

Hi Sayan,
There are many short duration courses available for BCA students such as .Net, java, MySQL,Oracle, VB, SAP, RHCE, CISCO, AIX, Web development.
All these courses is of duration around 3-6 months. These courses are highly demanding in any multinational company. All the best.
