Hello Aspirant,
Under any circumstances whether it is 80% or 72%, you are eligible for NIT. To get admission in Nit, you must have an aggregate of 60% in your class 12 examination with physics, chemistry and maths as your combination. So, do not worry, if these three sums upto 60% , you can sit for JEE.
Good Luck
Yes!!! Only if you fall under sc/ST category, not for the general category/obc candidates..
Eligibility for Admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs:
Minimum Marks: For admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs, candidates should secure minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST students) in the qualifying examination or must be in top 20 percentile in class 12th examination conducted by respective boards.
I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.
No,you are not eligible. You must have to be in the top 20 percentile of your board or score atleast 75% in 12 board. So,you are not clearing that criteria as the minimum 5 subjects are required to calculate percentage including pcm and two other. So,your percentage considered for NIT Is 72.But if you are in top 20 percentile of your board then you are eligible.
Thanks.
