4. West Bengal State University-The university is located at Barasat. They also provide Agriculture  and  rural development degree course. Students from different places come there to study this course.

Admission to government agricultural colleges and universities in India is done through ICAR AIEEA UG examination. One who wishes to joi  Various state agricultural colleges, central universities, has to appear for the test and on the basis of score obtained in the examination, college will be allotted. Around 64 State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticultural, Fisheries universities, Central Universities accept ICAR Ug scorecard for admission.
