Hello,
There are two kinds of cut off one is category specific cut off and second one is institute specific cut off. Category specific cut off is a cut off specified for each category and institute specific cut off is a cut off specified by each institute to get admission in that particular institute this cut off is different for each branch and varies from one institute to another. If you score the cut marks specified for each category by NTA then you will qualify and will be eligible to get admission in NITs and participating institutes. Cut off is determined after the JEE Main exam is concluded, we cannot predict the cut off now. In 2019 the cut off was as follows for each category
- General: 89.75
- EWS: 78.21
- OBC-NCL:74.31
- SC: 54.01
- ST:44.33
- PWD: 0.113
Cut off changes every year, the above cut off was given so that you will get an idea about cut off. JEE Main 2020 cut off is yet to be announced. Based on your percentile your expected rank will be around 159028 It can be calculated by the formula (100-your percentile)*869010/100
869010=total number of candidates appeared in JEE Main January session.
JEE Mains 2020 cut-off has not been released yet so, you can't predict yet whether you're pass or not
Although comparing from last year cut-off for last year was near about 90 percentile so, comparing from last year's cutoff variation in cut-off for this year can go upto 3 to 5 percentile, better you wait for Cutoff released by NTA, it's not sure when cut-off will be released as there's no such news or notice released by NTA regarding JEE Mains 2020.
Hope this will help you
All the best.
