Dear Aanya,

The AIQ neet cut off for 2018 ranges from 590 to 552 marks. Also 533 marks is the cut off through AIQ for government dental college. So there is absolutely no chance of getting a government college through AIQ.

As far as state quota is concerned,The cut off ranges from 550 to 518 marks in neet 2018.You are very close to the cut off of government dental college of MP which is:-

GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY,INDORE-463

So there is a good chance if getting a government dental college through state quota in this marks but you would not get any governmet college through AIQ and getting an MBBS college is also very difficult according to me.My answer is considering you in general category (UR) since you did not mention your reservation.

Thank you for the answer.I am indeed a general category student. Now that i know that its difficult getting a seat in government medical college, what should be my role in the counselling process?

Hey Aspirant !

Although you did manage to get a good score of 461 this year, but it would be quite tough for you to procure a government medical college seat in Madhya Pradesh.

As of the year 2018, the last candidate to enter through State Quota had a score of 493 which bagged him a seat in Government Medical College, Khandwa.

Through AIQ, the cutoff stood massive at 552.

That makes your chance of making the cut quite bleak.

However I did hear somewhere that all the functioning medical colleges in MP would have an increment of 50 seats each, although not sure about the news.

But make sure to participate till all the rounds of counselling.

You can still look out for some Private Medical Colleges or plan a drop accordingly.

Hope this helps.

All the Best !
