I am getting 92 in clat and I don't think I have a chance of getting into nlu ( general category) . Should I take drop or join any private ?
Dear Shaswat Kashyap,
It may be true that you won't get into NLUs with your mark as your rank would be around 3000 and 4000. But that is not the end of it. There are many private colleges which provide quality education. You must not drop because obviously, you have talent as you scored 92 marks. Join the best private law colleges in your surroundings or even go to other states if you have to. All the best !!!
Hope my answer helped.
The answer to this question is highly subjective. wheather or not you get a good NLUs will depend mainly on your hard work, dedication, practice. Apart from that, this is something more you need to have and that is confidence.
Dropping a year is not a big issue but if you have full confidence that you will surely make improvements in your result.
When you take a drop year, wheather in CLAT or any other exam, there is an inbuilt pressure to do well. I've see so many people working hard for some months and then finally losing motivation to do anything. That's why they can't clear the exam even if they are capable .
Even Unpredictability of CLAT . Difficulty of the paper has drastically fluctuated in the last couple of years. 2017 and 2018 was tough and 2019 was the easiest of them all.
See I don't mean to discourage you from taking a drop, but I want you to know all the pros and cons before making a decision. If done rightly, taking a year drop can help you to get through your dream college.
But , before making any decisions, think Very carefully. Take your time and then make a decision.
Hope the answer is helpful.
Good luck!
Dream
