I am getting a score of 140 /200 in NTSE stage 1 2019 .I belong to OBC Category ,Tamilnadu. What are my chances to enter stage 2

Last year, NTSE Tamil nadu cut off for OBC category students was 120 out of 150. This year, since there has been a change in the exam pattern and the total marks have been increased from 150 to 200, it'll be a little difficullt to talk about the cut off. However, 140/200 seems to be a decent score for qualifying NTSE stage 1. Getting selected for the NTSE stage 2 will depend on the cut off released by SCERT Tamil nadu in the third week of March, 2019. You can stay updated on the same by visiting the link below:

As a General category NTSE 2019 you should have 40% of 200 marks. You will have to score 40 marks in each- MAT and SAT and overall 80 to qualify. Your score is good enough to qualify, But the selection for the second round depends on Tamilnadu NTSE cutoff. You can check Tamilnadu Cutoff.
