Hello aspirant,

Each year, we see the cut offs rising for admission into government colleges, be it state wise or All India wise. To get a government seat in Karnataka, you must score above 600, if you belong to the GM category. For admission in reputed government colleges in other state, 670+ would be a safe score. Also note that cut offs vary every year owing to various factors such as difficulty level of the paper and number of students attempting it.

All the best!

Hello,

If you are interested in knowing the marks that you need to assure to be on the safe side for Government Medical Colleges in Karnataka for the NEET 2022 Examination, then I would like to tell you that as such there isn't any exact standard set for marks for GMCs.

Cut-offs for colleges change every year depending upon several factors such as-

• Number of applicants in NEET exam

• NEET question paper difficulty level

• Score of the candidates in NEET result

• MBBS/BDS seat matrix

Though it was expected that due to higher difficulty level of examination cut-off for colleges will decrease, but it turns out students have performed exceptionally well and the cut offs for colleges is expected to  increase compared to last year.

Still if we go by previous year data then for a General Category candidate, it is must to score more than 640-650 marks, to be assured of getting MBBS seat in a Good Government Medical College.

For complete details about previous year cut offs of All the medical colleges in Karnataka for MBBS and BDS and for different categories, kindly check out the link given below-
