Usually directors of travel show or documentary filmmakers hire well qualified and experienced cinematographer or DOPs for their work or you can say, the one who understand the combination of lights, sounds, shots, etc or who understand the scene visually with the same frequency as director thinks for their show because during shooting sometimes director gives free hand to their DOPs for their shows, if you are confident about your work and your skills then you must apply for Fremantle Media, this is UK based company with global presence and make shows in all genres. They also make documentaries for top channels such as Discovery or Nat Geo on travelling as well as wildlife shows.
