The branch should be chosen based on your interest. Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics all subject should be good if you want to crack an engineering entrance exam.
If you are more concerned about jobs then you should opt for branches like Computer science engineering, Information Technology, Electronica and communication engineering.
Apart from above there are many engineering branches, If you would like to appears for Indian Engineering services then you should choose Either Mechanical or electrical or Civil.
