The minimum criteria to get admission in NITs or IITs or IIITs is to get a minimum of 65% for SC/ST or to be in top 20 percentile of your respective board.
If you have studied in CBSE board than it is bad for you that you have scored 62% marks, None the less you can appear in the CBSE improvement exam if you fulfill the desired criterias.
If you belong to any other board then at first you need to get details of top 20 percentile cutoff and if you are inside that then no worries else you will have to apply for improvement exam via contacting your state board.
Hope this helps
Thanks and regards

Hi dear,
You have got mentioned your board. If you belong from CBSE board then you can not take admission in NIT. If you belong from state board and if you are under top 20 percentile then you can take admission in any NIT as you have got decent percentile.
Hope it helps.

For getting Admission in National Institute of technology you must have 65% in class 12 or you should be in top 20 percentile of your respective boards .So It is not possible to get Admission in nit .
But your score is good so you can try for other private collegee which considers Jee main scores also and there are also state colleges which take admission on basis of jee mains..
