I am graduate in BA English, my date of birth is 20 March 1998 . Do I have the opportunity for CDS or AFCAT?

Hello Aspirant,

For CDS

Right now you are approx. 24+ years old and according to your age you are only eligible for OTA (Men's) /(Women's) through CDS 2022 courses so you can appear for CDS 2022 only for OTA (Men's)/(Women's) course and for your reference the age criteria for different courses is mentioned below :-

>> Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years

>> Indian Naval Academy - 19 to 24 years

>> Air Force Academy - 20 to 24 years

>> Officers' Training Academy (Men) - 19 to 25 years

>> Officers Training Academy (Women, Non-Technical) - 19 to 25 years


Apart from the age criteria there are some other parameters upon which your eligibility will be determined like your educational qualification which goes like :-

**Indian Military Academy - Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute

**Indian Naval Academy - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ College

**Air Force Academy - Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor degree in engineering

**OTA (Men) - Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute

**OTA (Women - Non-Technical) - Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute

For AFCAT

Yes definitely you will be eligible for AFCAT 2022 but only for Ground Duty (Non-Technical). because otherwise the age limit is 20-24 years and for Ground Duty (Non-Technical). age limit is till 26 years.


>>>>>> Also apart from age criteria the candidate should be unmarried below the age of 25 years.

>>>>>> As you are only eligible for Ground Duty (Non-Technical) so you should have bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years from a recognized university in any discipline with minimum 60% or equivalent otherwise you should clear section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India)/ Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with 60% or more Administration and Logistics department, B.Com. degree with minimum 60% for accounts department.
