Hello Mragendra,
BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and it is an undergraduate course . It is a highly reputed profession especially because it is Indian medicine. Upon completion you will become an ayurvedic doctor and the admission to this course is based on NEET exam. BAMS course is generally of 5½ years duration. In order to be eligible for this course one must have completed their 12th with Physics, Chemistry ,Biology (compulsorily) and its more advantageous if you have studied sanskrit as you language because sanskrit is compulsory in the first year of BAMS and it would be difficult to cope up if you have to start from the very basics. The minimum qualifying aggregate for general category is 50% in Class 12 Board examination and for the rest it is 40%. Also for NEET the qualifying percentile is 50 for general and 40 for others . The specific cut-off for a specific college or university will depend on previous year trends, seats available and the number of candidates who wrote the exam. You will have to attend the AYUSH Counselling 2020 to get admission through NEET score. It is about to take place in October. Kindly keep yourself updated with the counselling dates. The approximate fee for one year will be 50,000/- to 70,000/- in private colleges and the total course fee may come up to 5-6 lakhs with other expenses like hostel, mess, books etc.
