I am having a lot of confusion. if I take computer science engineering in my b tech. can I eligible for writing IAS entrance exams (UPSC)
Hi Aspirant,
Yes you will be eligible to write for IAS entrance examination since the eligiblity criteria says that student must have completed graduation from recognized university in order to be eligible for the exam.So the age limit says that the candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years (for the General category candidate) on 1 August of the year of examination.
Hope it helps!!
The educational eligibility criteria for UPSC Civil Service Examination is that you should have a bachelors degree in any discipline. So you are eligible if you go for BTech CSE. Infact, every year a good number of Engineers qualify the UPSC examination and some of them are even toppers of the exam. The topper of 2018 who stood second in UPSC Akshat Jain is an engineer himself. So don't worry keep preparing.
