i am in 10th standard i want admission for information technology . What is the process and cutoff % to get admissoin here
Hi candidate,
As you have mentioned you are currently studying in class 10th.
You need to follow the following procedure to get computer science, information technology and related branches.
- Give your maximum efforts in class 10th board exams.
- After 10th, you can either continue with schooling or get diploma degree. If you are interested in taking admission in NITs , IITs , you need to have Physics Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects in class 11th and 12th. Give your maximum efforts in class 12th, as atleast 75% is required for taking admission in IITs and NITs. If you are considering diploma, you need to pursue diploma of atleast three years in computer science courses.
- If you want to pursue diploma, then follow this point, otherwise go to next point. After completion of diploma, you are not allowed to take admission in IITa and NITs as you are not eligible for JEE . However, you can easily get lateral entry admission (directly to 2nd year) of B.Tech. You need to attempt state level entrance test, after which based on your performance, you will get your college.
- If you are not interested in diploma, then you need to take PCM or PCMB as subject combination in class 11. During this time, you need to also start preparing for JEE Mains, JEE Advanced and other state level entrance test.
- Based on your performance, you will get admission in colleges. You need to choose CSE or IT or related branches while choice filling. The admission procedure will begin once you get college allotment letter.
All the best!
