hi you have plenty of time, and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology-aiims doesnt cover most part from ncert like how neet does, in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can

General knowledge and current affairs- read newspapers regularly, keep yourself updated always, use year books, they ll help you alot.

Hi Jenni!

The best time to start preparin for any medical entrance exam is in 11th. Few pointers for AIIMS preparation:

  • Be thorough with the NCERT textbooks as it helps to build a strong foundation for the concepts.
  • You can refer to any entrance prep reference book of your choice, provided you are able to understand the language of how the book is written. Usually they will also have some MCQs that can help you develop application skills.
  • Usually after you have studied the NCERT textbook for a particular topic, then study from the reference book as this will help you to reinforce the concept.

Hope this answers your question!

Its a good time to start preparation of aiims mbbs entrance exam.. study each and every topic carefully and understand the concepts.. don't mug it up..

Study only ncert textbook for biology, and read line by line. And focus more on examples, figures given in the book.

For physics and chemistry practise numericals on daily basis, of the topic which you have learnt recently..

Do all these during your class 12th also..

Solve previous year question paper of mbbs entrance exam of aiims, by this you will know about the standard of questions asked in exam.

I would also suggest you to join a good coaching, as they will guide you in your preparation and would orgainse regular tests to assess your performance..

Work hard and Follow this., you will surely get a seat in aiims delhi..

Good luck.. prepare well..

Study your class 11 syllabus well and do mcqs regularly. Study NCERT properly and make proper use of time because it really is a crucial year.

Dear Jenni,

The very first step is to see the pattern of the examination & know the syllabus well.

The ‘non-academic’ part:

  • Simply go through few previous year papers.
  • Be very serious about your goals. Both short and long term.
  • Talk to someone who has given the exam and ask their personal experience.
  • Be motivated always!
  • Ask a well wisher to make sure you don't deviate from your motivation. There are times when you'll suddenly feel down and lazy along the journey.

The 'academic' part:

  • Join a coaching centre if you want to.
  • You should do countinuous study. Doing NCERT should be your prime motive. One should be evident with each and every line of NCERT. Most of the students ignore NCERT in 11 which is one the gravest mistake.
  • Never hesitate to get your doubts cleared. This may sound like a very cliched piece of advice. Trust me! It comes from someone who's been there and who hasn't done that.
  • Solve lots of MCQs. Use 40% of your time for theory and the remaining 60% for MCQs. Take lots of mock tests.
  • Once you're done with some good amount of MCQs you'll know the different types of questions that you can expect from any chapter. The revision of these “types of questions” actually help before the examination.
  • You have ample time. Take sufficient amount of breaks and don't overdo the studying.
  • Finally, learn to enjoy the whole process. The three hours inside the examination centre especially. Enjoy every minute of it. Tell yourself that you're not gonna experience this thrill once more in the near future and enjoy giving the examination. This actually helps.
