In 2019, you will appear for your 12th boards exams. And if you skip JEE that year, although you will be eligible for JEE(JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION) Main after your one year of board exam but I recommend you that you should not waste your year because you can give JEE main 3 times only. So, if you drop a year you miss one chance. There are many companies as well who consider your gap. So, don't waste a year atleast you should try for it. Further I would like to inform you that It is mandatory for candidates to have taken 5 subjects in 12th or qualifying exam.if ur going to complete your 12th in 2019
Then you will be eligible for jee in the year 2019 and 2020
Sorry bro but you are not eligible for jee 2021 as per the CBSE
Hope you understand,
Thank you

If you are in 11th now then you will give 12th in 2021 only not 2020 .If you want 1 year gap between 11th and 12th you can do it.
But on basis of experience I will suggest that don't do that as many questions will be asked in interview and company why you have did this, may be this decision of your will create some problem in future.
Hope my answer helped you
Thank you
