Hey,
Integrated Programme in Management [IPM], is a five year post graduate programme offered by IIM-Indore. There are around 120 seats available. An entrance exam to test the aptitude, Logical Reasoning and English and Mathematics skills must be taken by all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria based on their application.
The IIM Indore’s website clearly specifies the attributes that they desire from IPM students: 1. Communication skills 2. General awareness 3. Persuasion skills 4. Confidence levels This makes your task relatively easy. However, you shouldn’t bank on these points alone. Usually, candidates who get through the PI round are ones who are aware of themselves, their surroundings [city, state, country and world], assertive but not aggressive and self-confident. These attributes should be prominent in all your replies. A handy tip: If you don’t know the answer to the question posed by an interviewer, admit it. Don’t try to bluff your way through it. Although, the number of students applying for the IPM programme are lesser as compared to CAT, it doesn’t make it any easier. Preparing for the IPMAT by studying at home, without any guidance can be counterproductive. Assess your strengths and weaknesses by appearing for some mock tests and drawing out a study plan. For MATHS cover your 11th and 12th N.C.E.R.T First then come to alternative book like R.S Aggarwal , Clear your basics and solve the questions as much as possible. For DI/LR you can follow Arun Sharma . Scoring in this part is little bit difficult. (Don’t bother about it as there is no negative marking). Answering more than 18 questions in this section is safer side in IPM Paper. In English buy Wren & Martin for Grammar and Word Power Made Easy For Vocab. For passage, i should advice you to read “The Hindu” (Here i am not promoting Kasturi and Sons Ltd.) It would help you in developing reading skills as well as your Current Affairs Parts (Which is the key factor at the time of Interview and WAT). Word of Advice - General Category Cutoff of Aptitude Test 2018 is around 140 marks, If you solve 15–20 Questions out of 60 Q in Maths and 25–30 out of 40 Q in English then definitely you would get call from IIM - Indore for WAT + PI. Hope this helps.
