I am in 12th I heard people saying btech doesn't have any scope if done from a private college. Is it better to do diploma instead of btech?

Hi,
These all things are really rubbish and just the rumours being spread through social sites and are not to be taken seriously. I agree that nowadays Btech graduates are more than the no of vacancies in the companies in a year thus creating a sort of disturbance in engineering community and as vacancies are less and candidate are surplus then first best of them are selected. There is no command over campus placement and YES it is far better for government college as compared to private college but there is also a twist that this condition is there for some low level private engineering college open in abysmal number in big cities, but some of the private college are literally reputed one and have a greater stand in ranking and even more than some of the IITs and NITs. And one more thing engineering syllabus is generally same throughout the stream and if one is not getting a campus recruitment from there then there are many government vacancies and PSUs recruitment after graduation and they do not ask for your college reputation rather need your intelligence thus if you are bright student then no obstacle can refrain you from achieving your dream.
Diploma people either take B.tech from lateral entry or hire themselves in a small scale work. So choose your stream wisely and remember your intelligence is more important than anything.
Best of luck.

Thanks sir for your guidance. Can you also tell me some best private college in NCR for btech .I was thinking to opt for diploma from polytechnic Manesar and after that btech . Is that good or you still say btech from a private college?
I will recommend you to opt for B.Tech rather than going for a diploma course as eventually you will end up doing Btech only and trust me the exposure to real technical work is indeed provided in B.Tech.
Its just my recommendation and I can't force you to go for it. You may opt for a course you are comfortable with taking prior suggestions from your parents, teachers, peers and seniors.
In NCR you may find a number of good college for B.Tech like
ABES Gzb
KIET Gzb
AKG Gzb
Galgotia Noida
MAIT Delhi
Jaypee Noida
Amity Noida
And one more...
little away from NCR.
MIT(Meerut Institute of technology)
