Now to be an IAS officer you have to give an examination name UPSC CSE. This is not only for IAS but is a common test for all the Group 'A' Gazetted officer posts in Government of India like IAS, IPS, IRS etc.
Now the minimum educational criteria for being in any of the service through UPSC CSE is to have a Bachelors degree in any field.
