I am in a dilemma. My boards marks are not above 75% but I have a decent score in JEE MAINS. So can I put my JEE MAINS marks on hold?

No,  This marks can't be held. This is valid only for this year. But I don't think you will face any difficulty because of this as 75% is just a qualifying criteria to appear for jee advance not to get in some college.  As if this would have been the think, cbse would have wait for the results before alloting the ranks.  All the best.

This year ranks are given on the basis of score no normalisation but for admission into NITS and other goverment colleges in boards above 75% are required .
