Hi reader,
lets first define silly mistake. Silly mistake is kind of a mistake which we commit unwantedly .
Silly mistake is actually hurting as we may know the formula or the concept but a minor mistake cost us badly
there are many categories of types of silly mistake. let me list out some of them
1)Type A : Missing out keywords/key-details. Due to which, there occurs a misinterpretation of Question. This mainly occurs due to reading in haste or poor reading habit.
2)Type B : Mix-up of concepts/formulae/diagrams and realising that only when I check the paper post-examination. This was mainly due to poor revision strategies or lack of revision.
3)Type 3: “Calculation” errors . These used to occur mainly due to calculation in haste/slow calculation methods.
4)Type 4: Failing to keep note of Units or signs Due to presumption and carelessness .
now coming to the solution part
1)Enrichment of Revision and focused Question practice : Unlike the habit of revising once or twice in a week, try to revise whole syllabus in one/two days with the help of short notes. Question practice should be only for those topics which actually deserve practice.
for example: Examples of Positive and negative deviation trouble a lot of people , attempting all possible types of Questions in that topic ensures that you are not leaving behind anything .
2)Enhancing reading habit on a daily-basis : Whenever you commit a mistake in a question in exam, utilize this opportunity to get back to NCERT/Modules to read about it, simultaneously inculcate a good reading habit .
3)include uninterrupted sound sleep of 7-8 hrs, avoiding bad eatables .
These all wil help you to reduce your silly mistakes drastically.
I hope this helps,
thank you

Dear Aspirant
The main cause of making silly mistakes during the time of giving major exams is the pressure of the major exam itself, People think that one exam will define their entire life and it depends on it.
If you have prepared well and have done done good in your mock tests. then before the day of exam you shouldn't be worrying about the result you just have to think about what you have already done, don't even try to do anything extra just 1 or 2 days before the exam, trust me it won't help as much as it will create trouble and stress in your mind.
What you have done till then is just good enough if you have faith in yourself. Have a good meal and sleep before your exam, go for an early morning walk on the exam day if you can to get rid of unwanted thoughts and stress.
Hope this helps.
