I am in B.Tech third year student. I want to know the best books for GRE preparation. Can you please help me out?
2. Verbal Reasoning
Verbal Reasoning requires the most amount of preparation for GRE. The following word lists are integral to succeed in the GRE:
- Barron's 333
- Barron's 1100
- Manhattan 1000
Apart from this, solve as many practice questions as you can. Even if you have a good vocabulary, you will only be successful in the GRE if you have an idea of the verbal question patterns. Many words you may not find in the word lists are available in sample questions and these are closest to the questions you may have to face in your actual exam.
Apart from the official ETS GRE guide, the following books have many verbal questions that will help in practice:
- 5 lb book of Practice Problems (Manhattan Prep.)
- GRE Prep (Kaplan)
For GRE self-study preparation, you will need the following study materials for different sections of the examination:
1. Quantitative Reasoning:
ETS: GRE The official guide to the Revised General Test should be sufficient if you already have a good grasp on 10 th grade mathematics or if you had Mathematics as a subject in the 12 th grade. Solve all the practice questions given in a timed environment.
2. Verbal Reasoning
The best books are:-
- ETS:GRE The official guide to the Revised General Test.
- Manhattan Prep GRE Strategy guide
- GRE Prep 2017 with 8 practice test
- Barron's GRE:21st EDITION
- Kaplan's GRE Premier 2017
-
There's a book called GRE Official Guide, you can get it for practicing. I've mentioned its link below.
https://www.amazon.in/Official-Guide-Revised-General-CD-ROM/dp/1259061086
Hope it helps.
Good Luck.
