I AM IN CLASS 10. WHICH BOOK CAN HELP ME TO CRACK NEET IN FUTURE? OF WHICH PUBLICATION I SHOULD SOLVE MCQS?
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
If you have already started the preparation for NEET , it's the prime time for the same . Before directly nosing to MCQs or going for books you can proceed step by step , that would probably make it easier and comforting for you .
Start from the NCERT itself . You must be clear with concepts and their applications . As most of the questions in NEET are application based . Portions in class 9th and 10th have their ellaborated version in 11th and 12th . After getting done with your Concepts and basics you can go for books published by Arihant . They provide you with question bank , mock test papers along last 10 years NEET question paper . You can even get the question papers from various sites . Other books like Pradeep's even have good number of MCQs from all prospective ( JEE and NEET) .
NEET consists of 360 marks biology i.e. 90 questions , 4 mark each , 45 questions of physics and chemistry respectively . Biology fetches you the lost goal in physics . You cannot opt to solve 45 physics numerics in 3 hours time but being through in biology can easily fetch you 300+ marks to compensate for the lost marks in physics . This time management is accurately required . You cannot promise yourself to attend every question because of nagative marks . You need to be fast and sure while you darken your OMR .
So make sure to complete 90 biology questions in less than a hour . This will require you to practice huge number of questions .
Being a 10th grader you have got ample amount of time to practice 10 questions each day atleast . Sample papers are even available in various sites with more than 500 questions to solve . You would never fall short of questions .
I hope the information has been helpful , for any further information or understanding do not hesitate to ask
All the best .
Thank you
I would rather recommend you to be more indulged in board exams for 10. Read the topics properly and clear basics that you have in your class 10 textbooks. If you are from CBSE Board, you may read textbooks from other boards like ICSE because they have a curriculum higher and different from yours and shall help in further higher studies.
You may also participate in olympiads to have a grip over solving MCQs and Time Management.
It must be noted that many of the chapters in 11 and 12 have their basics from 9 and 10 hence having crystal clear concepts in them is important and will be helpful in future.
For NEET, the basic and standard material which should be referred first is the NCERT textbook for all 3 subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
