Hello Aspirant,
It is nice to see someone so focussed on what to achieve in life in Class 10.
1. You should try to know about different branches of
chemistry and then try to focus on a specific branch
of chemistry - it can anything Electrochemistry,
Organic, Drug etc.
2. A fter doing class 12,research at Undergraduate
level will be something that will always make you
confident and give you an advantage in further
career.
3. Institutions that offer good undergraduate level
research opportunites are IISER and IISc. A BS in
chemistry at IISc or integrated BS-MS course at IISER
will be something unmatchable.
4. Admission in above mentioned institutions are done
through :
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) of the Indian
Institutes of Technology
State and Central Boards Channel (SCB)
5. Bsc in Chemistry ( Honours) from regular colleges
will also work but an internship programme under an
active researcher must be done in order to make sure
you are not out of the race. Indian Academy of
Sciences give this opportunity in their Summer
Internship Programs.
6. After doing Bachelor's, take the course you want to
specialization and do Master's in that. A full fledged
Master's thesis programme is must.
7 . Pick a lab, prefer a foreign lab where you want to do
thesis .
8. Finally work and earn your PhD.
