Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible appearing in NDA. However, candidates who have yet to qualify in the 12th class or equivalent examination are allowed to appear in the NDA but they are required to submit proof of passing the 12th class or equivalent examination by the prescribed date. Such candidates who qualify the SSB interview but could not produce Matriculation/10+2 or equivalent certificate in original at the time of SSB interview can forward duly self-attested Photocopies to Directorate General of Recruiting. But they have to submit their prescribed education certificate on or before the prescribed dates.
Hi,
UPSC states that candidates must have passed class 12 of 10+2 scheme in order to be eligible to appear for NDA. Candidates who are due to appear for class 12 examination can also apply for the exam. Since you are in class 11 this year, you can apply successfully for NDA next year. NDA is held in the offline mode twice annually in the months of April and September. You can apply for either one or both exams as per your convenience.
All the best!
