I am in class 12 I want to do engineering how much marks shall I have to score for getting NIT or AIT
To atleast get admission in lower NITs, marks around 130 is enough.But if your main aim is to get top NITs the you should try to atleast score around 220 marks in jee mains to get admission there.

If you want to take admission in engineering college then you need to give CET or JEE mains and there is no limit for the marks to take admission in engineering college. As per your score you get college on your ability.
Getting a seat in good colleges deoedepon the marks you score the rank you get and difficulty of the paper. For securing a seat in NIT and for getting a good branch your score must be around 260-270. Fir securing seat in AIT your rank must be under 95000 atleast. Different branches have different ranks.

To get NIT with help of state quota,candidate should score atleast 120 to get into NIT ,this marks vary with course you opt and cutoffs marks.For AIT marks should above 100 .This also varies with post of your father in the army.

Well, to get in top NITs one need to score 150 to 200.
If you will get above 200 , then you can get top NITs but again your category will be a big factor too in terms of admission.
