Hi shubangi

Thanks for asking your query. As you have chosen electronics as your optional subject in 12 which will be helpful for you in engineering if you take EEE OR ECE department , in CSE DEPARTMENT electronics has very less to do.Therefore I suggest you to focus in your 12 because It doesn't matter if your optional is electronics because you can take CSE department then also.

Hope this will help you.

hey aspirant ,

it is absolutely fine to take computer engineering after taking electronics as an optional subject in class 12. all colleges start from basic in any course. moreover there is an optional subject only in few boards like karnataka board ( PUC ) AND IN +2 ( CBSE ) other boards do not offer an optional subject . they either study physics , chemistry , maths ( PCM ) or physics , chemistry and biology ( PCB ) . you have studied electronics that is a plus point for you.

so you can take computer engineering without any hesitation if you are interested .

hope this helps .

good luck...!!!

Dear aspirant ,

Yes it is definately okay if later you decide to do cs in engineering . Other than electronics will help you for so many projects which you can make in colleges during intercollege exhibition as well as in 1st year every thing will be taught from basics . Studying electronics is  helpful for you.

At last i will say studying electronics will not harm you in anyway if later you want to do cse in your engineering.

Hi Subhangi!!! I am happy to inform you that it would be absolutely okay if you want to computer science engineering after your class 12 as in engineering they'll again start from basics and you won't face a problem there and if you're concerned about the entrance exams they'll just see your pcm marks for their required eligibilty criteria.

Hope that helped.Thank you
