Hello Aspirant,
For JEE-Advance maximum attempts allowed are two in two consecutive years that includes one year as your passing year of class 12th. Let me explain you with an example, you are going to pass your class 12th in 2023, so you will be eligible to give JEE-Advance 2023 and 2024 only, provided that you qualify JEE-Main as well in those years. Now if you take a drop after 12th then you will be having only one attempt for JEE-Advance i. e. of JEE-Advance 2024.
But note that for JEE-Main there are three attempts allowed, so in your case you can appear for JEE-Main 2023,2024 and 2025 if you pass your class 12th in 2023.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!!
