Hi

You are a little late, ideally you should have started jee main preparation  in 11th itself. Anyway, class 12th is not too late, you still have 1 year for jee, and if you prepare with dedication then you can definitely prepare well and can even make it to a good engineering college like NITs etc.

You cover both 11th and 12th syllabus simultaneously , there's not much dependency of 12th on 11 except for Chemistry organic in which you can't move without finishing 11th organic. Divide your time, give 40% time to 11th and 60% time to 12th syllabus.

Follow the below tips:-

------------------) Go  well through your syllabus and as you have less time, focus and stress more on  important and scoring topics or chapters which are listed below subject wise along with their chapter wise weight age based on past year papers :-

PHYSICS

  • *Modern Physics:- 20 marks

  • *Heat and Thermodynamics :- 12 marks

  • *Optics:- 12 marks

  • *Current Electricity :- 12 marks

  • *Electrostatics :- 12 marks

  • *Magnetics :- 8 marks

CHEMISTRY

  • *    Transition Elements and Coordination Chemistry  :-  12 marks

  • * Periodic table and Representative Elements :- 12 marks

  • * Thermodynamics And Gaseous State:- 8 marks

  • * Atomic Structure:- 8 marks

  • * Chemical Bonding:- 8 marks

  • * Chemical And Ionic Equilibrium:- 8 marks

MATHS

  • * Coordinate Geometry  :-  20 marks

  • * Limits, Continuity and Differentiability :- 12 marks

  • * Integral Calculus :- 12 marks

  • * Complex numbers and Quadratic Equation :- 8 marks

  • * Matrices and Determinants :- 8 marks

  • * Statistics and Probability :- 8 marks

  • * Vector Algebra :- 8 marks

To help you plan your studies ,you can get the chapter wise weightage of all the chapters at

------------------) Practice questions:- after finishing each chapter you should practice numericals and mcqs in order to master the concepts

------------------)  Short breaks :- take short breaks in between your studies, studying continuously can be brain tiring and it becomes difficult to focus and study with concentration, so take breaks to relax and refresh your brain.

------------------) Set  goals :- set daily goals  like I have to cover these many topics today, weekly goals like I have to  cover these chapters this week and  solve their mcqs too by the end of this week and meet them without any fail

------------------) Follow a routine or timetable :- you can make a routine and religiously follow it and try to give at least 10 - 12 hours to study each day in your routine.

.                    PHYSICS is the  toughest part for most of the aspirants  as it has both numericals and concepts to deal with , so keep at least 4 -5 hours each day for Physics.

.                     In Chemistry you have to deal with reactions and learn them and solve questions as well, so give at least around 3 hours daily to Chemistry

.                     Mathematics is all about practising questions, so try to give at least around 4 hours each day for maths

------------------) Revise:-  revise your concepts,  formulas etc at regular intervals  . Revision is very important otherwise as you move forward in your syllabus, you start forgetting the concepts you have learned before and you won't be able to perform well in your examination.

------------------) Solve previous year JEE  question  :- Solving previous year questions will let you know the examination pattern, type of questions asked in the exam and difficulty level of questions, also concepts  of the questions often gets repeated so it will be of great help to you . You can get previous year papers at https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-question-papers .

------------------) Go through JEE mock test papers :-  it will let you know your preparation level .After solving each mock test paper, analyse yourself which will help you to know your weak areas /topics  so that you can work on them and them strong so that you can perform well in your examination.
