Hi Ut Singh,
It does not matter what you are doing in your graduation for applying for CLAT. The eligibility criteria for CLAT is as mentioned below.
Candidates would be eligible to apply for CLAT if they have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of Forty-Five percent (45%) marks in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/Specially-abled person categories. Forty percent (40%) marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category. That's it. No graduation needed.
It means you are eligible for CLAT. Bingo!!
Read and made a note of whatever new words he came across. He then skimmed through the words at least twice a day. Also referred to Wren & Martin for grammar.
He also used the CLAT app developed by EduRev to test his English section (it has great material for brushing up your concepts, too.) In addition, there are plenty of helpful people on the forums- fellow CLAT aspirants- who are readily available to help you with any problem you may be coming across. This sense of community coupled with learning proves to be invaluable when you are struggling to better your language skills.
For the Legal Aptitude section , He downloaded previous year papers in bulk from the CLAT app by EduRev and set to work solving questions and analyzing the answers. Slowly but surely, He figured out a pattern, the beginning of a trail, that led to the right answer. He continued to solve these papers and once confident that He had a substantial understanding of how to approach these questions, He began with mock tests available on the app. Initially, the effect of all his analysis was hardly noticeable (he scores on the app and at the center were plenty disappointing). But, with time the effort started to pay off. Now He scores a minimum of 38 in this section in my mocks, and with more consistent practice, he is looking forward to hitting the golden fifty.
For logical reasoning , He referred to Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey; for GK, Arihant Publications; for Maths R.S. Aggarwal
Also, He thinks It’s always better to prepare for someone else. You don’t need to know the exact details of how someone is coming along. But it is absolutely recommended to have a group of people on hand to answer any doubts or motivate you when you get stuck . He ask his friends, get help from teachers (who, more or less, oversee my preparation now), and frequently participate in the forums on the CLAT app by EduRev.
So, yes, the app did add value to his preparation. And if you have any second thoughts about giving it a go, I encourage you to cast them aside and use it. Of course, at the end of the day, your hard work matters most of all.
