Dear

After Mechanical Engineering you may consider these options for your further education

Aerospace

Robotics

Environment Engineering

Solar

Through that you would get opportunities in private and govt sector too.

All the best

Decide whether you want to go for Core jobs, higher studies, manufacturing sector, design sector, GATE, PSUs or you want to go in IT sector, pursue MBA etc. Decide now and work accordingly right from 3rd year.

Boost your concepts of SOM, manufacturing and material science. Make yourself OK with basic concepts of Thermo and fluid. If possible work on some projects under profs or clubs.

I'll suggest to go for Industrial training after 3rd year.

Hope that helps.

BTW I've completed 3rd yr in ME.

It solely depends on your interest. If you are completely flexible I'll suggest to go for PSUs or try for IES. You can expect much better life as compared to jobs at other sectors.

You can take up government jobs in PSUs directly or opt for being an IAS /IPS/IFS officer cadre for grabbing prestigious government position.

Dear Akshay

You have se good options like prepare for gate, upsc, IT jobs, core jobs, Indian army, Navy, Bank, Railway engineers. My suggestion is if youre interested in IT then start learning some technical languages now like c, Java etc.., because future will depends upon machine learning, artificial intelligence etc.. and after 2 years you can do mba Because almost best b schools required experience. And if you wish to go and opt core sector, you. Need to prepare for gate from now onwards, and it. Sb get you a job, it can fetch you seat for Mtech in top IITs/NIT's. And almost if you prepare for gate, almost all you'll clear entrance exams.

All the best. Take wise decision.
