Establish a Solid Foundation in Science and Math: Pay close attention to comprehending the principles of chemistry, physics, and mathematics. The foundational subjects for IIT-JEE are these.

Thoroughly study the NCERT texts because they serve as the foundation for numerous competitive tests, such as JEE.

2. Participate in a Coaching Program (Selective):

Enrolling in a foundation course will offer organised advice for preparing for the IIT. Numerous institutions provide early preparatory courses for pupils in grades 8–10.

3. Begin with the fundamentals and work your way up:

Pay attention to subjects like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry in mathematics.

Focus on mechanics, motion, and laws of motion when studying physics.

Improve your knowledge of atomic structure, chemical bonding, and periodic table trends for Che mistry.

Improve Your Problem-Solving Ability: Consistently practise problem-solving. You develop your analytical and logical thinking skills by solving issues.

Work your way up to more difficult problems by starting with the simpler ones.

5. Make Use of Reference Books

To expand your conceptual knowledge, you can use the following books in addition to your course syllabus:

R.D. Sharma, IIT Foundation series (Pearson), mathematics

H.C. Verma (Concepts of Physics), Physics

Chemistry: IIT Foundation series for Chemistry, O.P. Tandon

6. Online Sources and Practice Exams:

Make use of internet resources that provide practice exams, video lectures, and IIT-JEE preparation materials.

Take practice exams frequently to become accustomed to the format and time management of the real exam.

It is a good idea to start IIT preparation from Grade 9 because it gives you sufficient time to build a broad base. Here's how to start:

1. Focus on NCERT:

  • Master the NCERT books for Maths and Science. These are the basics and most IIT JEE questions are based on these concepts.

2. Strengthen Concepts:

  • Focus on understanding the core concepts in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry rather than memorization.
  • Pay special attention to algebra, geometry and trigonometry in maths, and mechanics and motion in physics.

3. Practice Problem-Solving:

  • Start solving problems from Olympiad and foundation level books like RD Sharma (Mathematics) or HC Verma (Physics).
  • Keep practicing problems on a regular basis to develop your logical thinking and speed.

4. Join Foundation Courses:

  • You can join IIT foundation coaching or online courses meant for an early-stage preparation
  • Given that such foundation courses provide you with a structured learning and help you clear up the concept part.

5. Good Study Habits:

  • Make a study plan for yourself and stick to it
  • Time management is the key but balance between school and IIT preparatory work

6. Mock Tests & Olympiads :

  • Participate in maths and science olympiads which check the understanding and the problem-solving skill

Starting early would give you an extra advantage of things going down your throat gradually rather than rushing through the material, wherein there is still time to equip it with more knowledge.

Thankyou!
