Hi
Aeronautical engineering is a prestigious profession and also is one of the highest paying engineering profession. Aeronautical engineers are concerned with design and construction, testing and operation as well as maintenance of aircraft and aircraft components.
So Basic eligibility criteria for Aeronautical Engineering is minimum 70-75% marks in aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) in class 12.
Aeronautical engineering is offered by many engineering colleges in India so You have to clear qualifying exam JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
There are various examination depending on college or country where you wish to pursue the course.
While in class 12 you need to fill the application form for different entrance examinations, and only handful of IIts and NITs offer Aeronautical Engineering . So you can appear for the following Entrance Exams:
1. IIT-JEE (National Level)
2. ISAT (National Level)
3. AIEEE (National Level)
4. IIAEEE
5. INSERT
6. SLIET
7. BITSAT
Besides these there are many other private engineering colleges but they cannot match the calibre of NITs and IITs
So for now in class 11 you need to focus more on PCM and also make a proper schedule and prepare for JEE Main side by side .
There is always a huge Demand for Skilled Aeronautical engineers, and both private and government organisations give huge perks to retain efficient engineers.
So for now, work hard in class 11 , 12 and if you are really Passionate about it then you should plan your schedule accordingly and I am sure you'll suceed.
All the best
