I am interested in Ethical Hacking, Which specialization should I take in CSE?
Dear Subhash, being an aspirant of Ethical Hacker, I feel myself to be very apt to ans this question.
First you want to understand that there is no graduation in ethical hacking. No college can teach you the skills of hacking. Yes they can guide you somehow about the tech knowledge and certification but the true dedication is yours and most importantly a reason as to "Why you wanna do this".
Always remember a major journey like hacking can only be successful by having a "Vision" and not a "Selfish Goal".
Here 's few suggestion about self study -
- Learn Programming (Ruby, Pearl, Python, C, C++ etc)
- Understand concepts of Network Technologies.
- Explore the amazing world of Linux & Unix.
- Read about recent vulnerability exposures.
Its better to do it in your on way then paying thousands to different institutes.
Still, if you want to join an institute I am giving you some of the popular names which offers this course.
- Indian School of Ethical Hacking, Kolkata
- NIIT Ethical Hacking, Multiple Locations
- Institute of Ethical Hacking & Forensics, Odisha
- Arizona Infotech, Pune
- Institute of Information Security , Multiple Locations
Never forget that hacking is a journey and not a destination.
All the best :)
Hope this helps :)
There are also M.Sc. in Cybersecurity and Diplom courses for Ethical Hacking.
Hello,
Its not bad to an ethical hacker and becomes helpful in many circumstances. To become an hacker you should first be capable of using computer language and networks. Its of much worth to know about more than one language.
Yeah its good if you take computer science and engineering. After graduation in computer engineering or computer science, you can do certification courses provided by many institutes. Certificates adds weight to your knowledge.
