Hello!

If you wish to pursue in the civil services, Humanities or Arts will give you a boost. It includes the broadest range of courses that may be pursued further in education,as well as providing a solid foundation for Civil service examinations. The primary curriculum of general studies papers includes disciplines such as political science, geography, history, sociology, economics, public administration, etc which pose to have maximum weightage in the prelims. The vast majority of these courses are also included in UPSC Optional subject list.

So, if you really have an interest in such subjects BA is recommended over BCom. Also, its a known fact that candidates approach to the examination is most important that enhances the chances of success. So, choose wisely as CSE requires applicants to have a genuine interest in the subjects they are studying, which can only be attained by hard work and dedication.

All the best!

Hello STudent

As you are interested in preparing for UPSC after graduation then it will be better for you to take BA economics or BA sociology course in  graduation level. Because these two courses are very much fruitful for UPSC examination. Other hand if you take commerce and maths in graduation level then your logical or analytical ability will grow day by day. Finally if you take maths in your graduation level or Science in your graduation level then this two sides of logical and analytical ability will grow more day by day.for learning purpose any language, economics, sociology in the graduation level will be the best choice of subject. So you should have to take economic sociology in graduation level and in  combination you may take one subject of one paper of elective mathematics. Follow analytical and logical reasoning books regularly, reference books for these two subjects also. Try hard for reaching your goal.

Hope this helps.
