I am interested in pursuing Mtech environmental engineering from any iit or ism.Can i pursue btech mining , metallurgy or biotechnology ?

Yes, you can do that. metallurgy is very good one and as well biotechnology. But it's based on your passion. My suggestion is you to go through the Google and the subjects inside that. So that you'll get to know all.
