As you said you are interested in research field a student has you in 11th right now please try to understand the concepts of each and every topic which is 11th and 12th is the base of every higher studies you are going to pursue after your school. So after your school either you can go for btech or bsc and then you have to go for a master degree if it's bsc then  you have to do MSc and if btech then mtech . It's important to do mtech after btech if you want to go for research or otherwise you can directly apply for gate . Get really good marks and directly you can get admission in PhD in iits. But if not then you can do masters and give net exam and can go for PhD if in India . That's how you can god for research studies. I hope this was helpful to you

Helo Shreyas, the best path for you would be to take up a bachelor's degree in science because doing research would be a lot easier and meaningful after completing a bachelor's in science. You can do masters and then PG and continue your research. You can become a scientist and keep researching even after completing your studies. Some exams would be entrance exams like ISRO's entrance exams for scientist or the entrance exams for abroad universities like SAT(for bachelor's) and GRE(for masters).
